Projects and Visibility

I added a project. Why can’t I see it?

 This is usually a permissions issue. Users must be assigned to specific projects. Contact your account admin to be added to the project. You can also manage access at the subfolder level within each project.  See our How To Manage Users video for more information. 

My building inspector can’t see my project. What do I do?

First, make sure the project is assigned to the correct municipality. You can do this by clicking the pencil icon next to your project. If it is, confirm the inspector is a verified user for that municipality in DSB. If they aren’t yet verified, contact DSB Support, and we’ll invite them to the platform.

Why can’t I see the rain gauge?

The rain gauge won’t display unless your project has a valid address or latitude/longitude entered. You can add this information at any time by clicking the pencil icon on the project and updating the project details.

Users, Roles, and Permissions

How do I add a user?

Go to Users, click the orange paper airplane icon, and enter their email address. They’ll receive an invitation to join Digital Site Box. Once they’re verified, you can assign them admin, manager, or general user access.

I requested a password reset but haven't received an email.

This is typically due to a typo in the email address invited. Ensure you are putting in the correct email address. You can request the account administrator for your account check under the Users tab for your account to confirm the email address entered. If the email address is correct, check your spam folder. If neither of these is an issue, please reach out to DSB Support. 

Security and Access Control

I don’t want the neighbors to see my construction drawings. How can I protect this information?

You can set a PIN code for your project. Only users who enter the PIN will be able to access the project’s documents. 

Is the PIN project-specific or for the entire account?

The PIN is set at the account level, but you choose which projects it applies to. That means only the projects you lock will require the PIN. You can also lock individual subfolders under a project.

Using Digital Site Box

What is the Project Group feature used for?

Project Groups allow you to organize multiple projects under a single umbrella, such as all projects within a neighborhood, so you can easily filter and manage them.

How do I save redlines on my PDF?

After marking up your PDF, open the hamburger menu in the top left, download the marked-up file, rename it, and upload it back to DSB. This ensures the original PDF can’t be overwritten without authorization.

I’d like to receive an email with the day’s activity. How can I do this?

In DSB, go to Edit Profile and check the box beside Notifications. You’ll receive a daily summary email for all projects in your account.

A backhoe ran over my sign. How can I order a replacement?

Contact DSB Support to order a replacement. You can do this directly from the Support Center inside Digital Site Box or contact your sales executive.
